Ken Miles is one of the most famous sports car racers in history, and his time at Shelby American was the pinnacle of his career.
This book is written by Dave Friedman, the official factory photographer for the Shelby American organization. This book covers Ken’s first victory in a 289 Cobra through the robbery of Ken’s win at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

Join us in the streets of Irvine as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Shelby GT350, the Shelby 427 Cobra as well as Shelby American Racing winning the FIA World Sports Car Championship!
The event will be from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025.Vehicle roll in and parking will begin at 7:30.There will be a special display honoring this amazing time in Shelby's history.
Entry fee for cars to register is $60, and will include a unique gift bag sponsored by the Carroll Shelby Foundation and our sponsors with some really cool stuff. It will include ONE admission ticket per registered vehicle to the incredible Segerstrom Shelby Event Center and Museum featuring the finest display of Shelby vehicles and memorabilia in Southern California! As always spectators are FREE!
By popular demand there will be awards given including People's Choice Awards for various classes.
